Former President John Agyekum Kufour has urged the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Asante Kotoko SC, Nana Yaw Amponsah, to make the football club economically viable under his watch.

The former president gave the advise when the newly appointed CEO of the Porcupine Warriors paid a courtesy visit to his residence on Tuesday, to afford him the opportunity of gathering some useful advices from past chairmen and managers of the club.

Offering nuggets of wisdom to the CEO, Mr Agyekum Kufuor stressed on the need for the commercialization of the club.

Ex-president John Agyekum Kufour was once Board Chairman of Asante Kotoko from 1988 to 1991.

Mr Amponsah’s visit to Mr Agyekum Kufuor forms part of his engagement tour following his appointment as the CEO of the Ghanaian football giant.

He was appointed in August 2020 to man the affairs of the football club and make it economically viable.

The CEO has already held meetings with former Chairman and Bantamahene, Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, known in private life as Sylvester Asare Owusu.
