Aboubakar Ouattara Reassigned as Special Advisor at Hearts of Oak
Ghana Premier League side Hearts of Oak has made a significant staffing change, appointing former head coach Aboubakar Ouattara as Special Advisor to the Board of Directors. The announcement came on June 24, 2025, following the recent appointment of Didi Dramani as the new head coach.
Ouattara’s tenure as head coach came to an end after a season in which he guided Hearts of Oak to a top-four finish in the 2024/25 league campaign. He joined the club in February 2023, and in his first season, he managed to steer the team away from relegation, finishing 14th on the league table.
In his new role, Ouattara will work closely with the Board of Directors on special assignments, leveraging his experience and insights gained during his time as head coach. The club hopes that his continued involvement will help strengthen their strategy moving forward.
Hearts of Oak aims to build on their recent successes and improve their standing in the league, and Ouattara’s expertise is expected to play a crucial role in this endeavor.
