Bank of Ghana Shuts Down Dek-Nock Investments for Unlicensed Deposit-Taking Activity
The Bank of Ghana, in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service, has announced the immediate closure of Dek-Nock Investments for engaging in deposit-taking activities without a licence.
The firm, which operated in Nungua and Ashaiman in the Greater Accra Region, was shut down in accordance with Section 20(2)(g) of the Banks and Specialised Deposit-Taking Institutions Act, 2016 (Act 930).
Dek-Nock Investments was found to be in violation of Section 6(1) of Act 930, which prohibits unauthorised deposit-taking.
The Ghana Police Service is currently conducting further investigations into the operations of Dek-Nock Investments.
Customers of the company are urged to remain calm as investigations proceed, and the public will be kept informed of any developments.
The Bank of Ghana, in conjunction with law enforcement agencies, remains steadfast in its efforts to eradicate illegal deposit-taking operations and will ensure that all offenders are prosecuted according to the law.
