Within that period, the highest suspension, 7.8 million, was recorded in 2019.\r\n\r\n People\u2019s reactions : Reacting to Elon Musk\u2019s announcement of plans to delete dormant accounts, some Twitter users commended the move, saying that it will now free some names that can be used to register new accounts.\r\n\r\nOthers, however, queried the billionaire saying he has yet to fulfil his promise of restoring suspended accounts before thinking of deleting inactive accounts.\r\n \r\n \t Since his takeover of the company in October, Musk had restored many accounts earlier suspended by Twitter for breaking its rules, including that of former U.S. President Donald Trump.
