" \n GCPSF reacts to AG's comments on using public funds to trade for personal gains \n \n\n \n The Ghana\u00a0COVID-19\u00a0Private Sector Fund (GCPSF) has reacted to the assertion made by the Auditor-General in its 2021 report that stated the GCPSF could trade with public funds for personal gains. \n \n\n \n According to the GCPSF, the statement made by the AG in its report in reference to its activities is inaccurate and misleading. \n \n\n \n A statement signed by the Managing Trustee of the GCPSF,\u00a0Senyo Hosi, stated that the GCPSF contrary to the assertion made by the AG, is\u00a0a not-for-profit organisation and does not engage in any kind of trading that inure to the benefit of its members. \n \n\n \n Additionally, none of its members\u00a0has suggested, acted, nor purported to engage in commercial activities for which the GCPSF, its trustees, officers, assigns or representatives shall or stand to benefit personally. \n \n\n \n \u201cWe have taken note of the Auditor-General\u2019s management report in reference to the National COVID-19 Trust Fund (NCTF). The report makes inaccurate and misleading references to the COVID-19 Private Sector Fund (GCPSF).\u201d \n \n\n \n \u201cAs a transparent and open organisation whose activities are funded by the public, we are concerned by the misrepresentations made and hereby address the issues as follows: \n \n\n \n 1. The GCPSF has had a healthy cooperation with the NCTF which has ultimately been beneficial to the people of Ghana. We are grateful to the NCTF and proud of the successes attained by the partnership in the provision of public goods.\u201d \n \n\n \n \u201c2. We are gravely concerned by the statement made in paragraph 30 of the Auditor-General\u2019s management letter which suggests that the GCPSF could trade with public funds for personal gains.
