With\u00a02 political parties and 500 NGOs,\u00a0its placement on the list\u00a0is mostly backed by its high population. \r\n \r\n The UK takes sixth place,\u00a0with a composite score of 38.2.\u00a0For a million people,\u00a0it has 16 organizations, which is 40 times more than China.\u00a0This ratio is backed by 68 million citizens of the UK,\u00a07 environmental political parties and 1100 Non-Governmental Organizations. \r\n \r\n Brazil, with a score of 35.6, takes the seventh place in the ranking.\u00a0It has\u00a0half as many environmental NGOs, compared to the US,\u00a0but is not\u00a0too far behind, when it comes to the organization-to-population ratio.\u00a0Brazil\u2019s environmentalists are relatively active in politics, with\u00a06 parties for 216 million people. \r\n \r\n France takes the eighth place, with a score of 34.\u00a0French environmental organizations and parties are not much different from Brazil's.\u00a0France has a higher organization-to-population ratio (15.4),\u00a0compared to\u00a0Brazil's 4.2. \r\n \r\n Poland takes the ninth spot on the list,\u00a0with\u00a0a score of 33.3.\u00a0Poland has\u00a0the exact same number of parties and NGOs as France.\u00a0But with\u00a0a lesser population of 37 million, it has 1.7 times more organizations for 1 million people. \r\n \r\n Colombia finishes the top 10, with a score of 31.8.\u00a0With the same amount of NGOs and parties as Brazil,\u00a0it has around 4 times less population.\u00a0It has\u00a017 organizations for 1 million Colombians, which is 4.2 times more than Brazil. \r\n \r\n A spokesperson from\u00a0 Arka \u00a0commented on the study. \u201cThe activity of environmentalists is not solely based on the organization-to-population ratio. What affects the activity the most is the amount of potential members of parties. In the case of Colombia and Brazil, where Colombia\u2019s organization-to-population ratio is higher, its activity is lower, because of its lower population. \u201d "
