" \n Samuel Osei Kuffour elected President of Professional Footballers Association of Ghana \n \n\n \n Samuel Osei Kuffour has been elected as the new President of the Professional Footballers Association of Ghana (PFAG). \n \n\n \n The umbrella body of players in Ghana and Ghanaian footballers abroad held its annual Congress at Accra City Hotel where new leaders were elected to key positions. \n \n\n \n The former Bayern Munich star, received an overwhelming 100% yes vote at the Congress attended by representatives and captains of the male and female teams in Ghana.\u00a0 \n \n\n \n Before his new portfolio, Osei Kuffour served the union as a board member. \n \n\n \n Sammy Kuffour thanked his colleagues and challenged them to forge a much stronger front while fighting for each other to provide better welfare for footballers. \n \n\n \n Joseph Tetteh Zutah, the captain of Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC, is the new Vice-President of PFAG after receiving the approval of his colleagues. \n \n\n \n Zutah, who was on the field leading his club side Medeama against Karela in a league match while the Congress was going on, had earlier sent a heartwarming video which was played to the delegates. \n \n\n \n New Board members were also elected into office with Ghana legend Abedi Ayew Pele, Kwame Ayew, Augustine Ahinful, Ibrahim Tanko, Stephen Appiah, Mohammed Muntari Tagoe, Elizabeth Addo and Gifty Appiah all receiving popular acclamation as Directors of the PFAG. \n \n\n \n This Also: Prez Akufo Addo gifts Hearts of Oak Ghs 1 million head of JS Saoura tie \n \n\n \n Founder and General Secretary, Anthony Baffoe, continues to be at the helm of affairs of the PFAG Secretariat together with his Deputy Solomon Torson. \n \n\n \n Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif and the General Secretary of the Ghana Football Association Prosper Harrison Addo were in attendance to lend support to the players. \n \n\n \n The Minister explained several policies government is embarking on to support sports especially ex-sportsmen and asked them to continue putting up the best for the country, citing the package his outfit just rolled out for the Black Satellites as an example of what government is doing to help footballers. \n \n\n \n The FA General Secretary also expressed his happiness with the leadership of the PFAG and educated players on why they should channel their grievances through their union for them to be managed well. \n "
