Asante Gold raises $50m to continue growth in Ghana
Asante Gold Corporation has announced that it has entered into an agreement with Clarus Securities Inc. to lead a private placement of up to $50m, at C$1.80 per share, in a “best efforts” offering.
The funds raised will be used for exploration and development of the company’s mineral properties, as well as for general corporate working capital purposes.
The placement is expected to close on or around 9 February 2023, subject to regulatory approvals and other closing conditions.
The securities issued under the offering will be subject to a four-month hold period from the date of issue, in compliance with applicable securities laws.
Asante Gold Corporation is an exploration, development, and mining company with a portfolio of projects and mines in Ghana.
The company operates the Bibiani and Chirano Gold Mines, with forecast production of approximately 400,000 ounces of gold for 2023.
Asante is listed on the Canadian Securities Exchange, the Ghana Stock Exchange, and the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.
