Benchmark index records no change as market cap. remains GHS 73.8bn
The benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange recorded no change from the
previous trading day to close at 3,130.60, placing its YTD return at 28.10%.
The Financial Stocks Index similarly remained constant to close at 1,918.99 points, placing its YTD loss at -6.51%.
There were no price movements on this day, similar to the previous day trading day and as a result, market
capitalization remained at GH¢ 73,807.06 billion.
Overall, 42,507 shares (down 77.36%), valued at GH¢64,601.04 (down 70.95%) were traded today, with nineteen (19) stocks in total exchanging hands.
MTNGH trades dominated the market with a trade volume of 11,001 shares worth GH¢15,401.40.
This was followed by CLYD, which saw 7,207 shares valued at GH¢216.21 trade.
The other stocks that made up the top five traded stocks were SIC, GCB, and SOGEGH.
