1oz Ghana Gold Coin Pegged at GHS 46,359
The Bank of Ghana has fixed the price of its one-ounce gold coin at GH¢46,359.92, according to the Central Bank’s latest pricing bulletin.
The half-ounce and quarter-ounce coins were quoted at GH¢23,523.12 and GH¢12,126.79, respectively.
The valuation reflects Friday’s (October 24, 2025) London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM gold price of $4,143.75 per ounce and a Bloomberg exchange rate of GH¢10.80 to the US dollar.
The Bank of Ghana introduced the gold coins in 2021 as part of efforts to promote domestic value addition and deepen Ghana’s position in the global bullion market.
Analysts say the continued rise in gold prices has contributed to the local currency valuation of the gold coins, a trend that underscores the increasing allure of gold as a hedge against inflation and currency depreciation.
