1oz Ghana Gold Coin Valued at GHS 45,783.11 as Bullion Prices Hold Firm

The Bank of Ghana (BoG) on Friday, September 12, 2025, released updated pricing for its Ghana Gold Coin, pegging the 1-ounce coin at GHS 45,783.11.

According to the pricing schedule, the 0.50-ounce coin was valued at GHS 23,255.11, while the 0.25-ounce denomination was quoted at GHS 12,015.89.

The central bank noted that the pricing reflects the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM close of US$3,629.55 per ounce, combined with Bloomberg’s USD/GHS exchange rate of 12.1500 as of the previous day’s close.

The Ghana Gold Coin, introduced as part of efforts to deepen the country’s gold value chain, has gained traction as a store of value amid rising global bullion prices and domestic currency depreciation.
