La Liga: Bellingham’s Goal Secures Top Spot As Real Madrid Earn Comeback Win Over Valencia

Real Madrid pulled off a dramatic 2-1 victory against Valencia on January 3, 2025. Jude Bellingham scored a last-minute goal that sealed the win and kept Madrid at the top of La Liga.

Valencia took the lead in the 27th minute when Hugo Duro scored after a rebound from Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois. The home team dominated the first half, forcing Courtois into several saves.

In the second half, Real Madrid struggled but had a chance to equalize when Bellingham missed a penalty in the 56th minute, hitting the post. A few minutes later, Kylian Mbappe had a goal disallowed for offside.

Things turned chaotic in the 80th minute when Vinicius Junior was sent off after a clash with Valencia’s goalkeeper, leaving Madrid with ten men. However, Luka Modric equalized in the 85th minute, assisted by Bellingham.

In stoppage time, Bellingham scored the winner, capitalizing on a defensive mistake from Valencia. This victory moved Real Madrid two points clear at the top of the table, while Valencia remained in 19th place, facing relegation concerns.

Bellingham was named Man of the Match for his crucial contributions.
