2021/2022 Ghana Premier League Best Referee to take home brand new car
The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the best referee of the 2021/22 Premier League season will take home a brand new car.
The announcement came during the grand launch of the 2021/2022 season at the Football Association’s Secretariat in Accra on Tuesday.
This, according to the GFA will encourage referees to put in their best performance in the upcoming league season which kicks off on Friday, October 29, 2021.
‘’For the Ghana Premier League, the best referee for the year will take home a car at the end of the season. I am very sure that our referees will be happy’’ President Simeon Okraku said.
‘’The whole idea is to encourage our referees to be competitive and deliver top notch performances over the course of the season’’ he added.

Yesterday’s event, which brought together some of the heavyweights in Ghana football, as well as partners of the FA, saw the football governing body raise the tempo of the flagship Ghana Premier league with the introduction of TEMPO footballs as official match balls of the Premier League, Division One League and the MTN FA Cup competition.
Also, the FA announced that ZAZ will be kitting referees with uniforms and to all personnel who officiate in GFA competitions for the next three seasons.
About 90 Referees and Assistants have been selected by the Referees Committee for the upcoming campaign.
In preparation for the season, these Referees have undergone various training programmes ahead of the 2021/22 league campaign.
