2021 WBA Awards: Matchroom Boxing wins Promotional Company of the Year Award
Matchroom Boxing was awarded as the Promotional Company of the Year by the World Boxing Association (WBA) thanks to the great work it carried out during 2021.
The WBA took into account the votes of its directors, as well as the opinion of the fans through its social networks, most of whom considered Matchroom to be the most outstanding company of the year.
The British company has had an impressive growth in recent years and has become one of the best in the world. They have expanded into major markets, have promoted great events and have accompanied great boxers in their careers.

This year they managed to work hand in hand with “Canelo” Alvarez in a couple of very important fights, as well as promote fights of other great boxers such as Anthony Joshua, Devin Haney, Teofimo Lopez, George Kambosos, among others.
Matchroom has deepened its work in the UK and USA but also did big events in markets like Mexico, Uzbekistan or Spain, which shows its work at a global level and its goal to make boxing reach more and more places.
The WBA congratulates Matchroom Boxing for this great year 2021 and hopes they will follow the path of success in the coming years for the benefit of the sport.
