2022 President’s Cup: Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko to each get GHS 50,000 and 25% of gate proceeds

Accra Hearts of Oak and Kumasi Asante Kotoko will battle it out for this year’s President’s Cup. The two teams are set to rake in 50,000 Ghana cedis each as appearance fee plus 25% each of the gate proceeds.

The President’s Cup which is played to honour the sitting Ghanaian president every year, will occur at the Accra Sports Stadium with a late kick off.

Originally, the President’s Cup was played on Ghana’s Republic Day, 1st July, but this year’s edition has been rescheduled to take place on March 4, 2022, two weeks after the two sides battled it out for supremacy in the Ghana Premier League.
