2023 budget to be presented on November 24
Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta, is expected to present the 2023 Budget Statement and Economic Policy on Tuesday, November 24, 2022, Deputy Majority Leader, Alexander Afenyo-Markin has revealed.
Majority Leader in Parliament, Osei Kyei-Mensah-Bonsu, had earlier noted that the 2023 Budget Statement presentation on the floor of Parliament could be delayed due to ongoing negotiations with the IMF.
The delay, the Majority Leader noted, was also to allow Cabinet consider and make inputs into the programme to be agreed with the IMF before it is incorporated into the 2023 Budget Statement.
Also speaking on the floor of Parliament in relation to the 2023 budget presentation and reacting to an enquiry from the Minority on who specifically will be reading the budget, the Majority Leader averred the budget may be presented by any cabinet minister including the Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta come November 24.
