2023 FIFA FIFPRO World 11 finalists revealed

The build-up to the 2023 FIFA FIFPRO World 11 has taken a significant step with the reveal of the men’s and women’s finalists. Over 28,000 professional footballers have voted for their team of the year. The World 11 is the only global football award decided exclusively by professional footballers.

The FIFA FIFPRO Men’s World 11 nominees are the 23 men’s footballers who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 19 December 2022 to 20 August 2023 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 23 official matches during that period.

The FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11 nominees are the 23 women’s footballers who received the most votes from their peers for their performances from 1 August 2022 to 20 August 2023 inclusive. Players must have appeared in at least 25 official matches during that period.

Who will make the World 11?

The goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders and three forwards who have received the most votes will be selected for the World 11. The final spot in the World 11 will be assigned to the remaining outfield player with the next highest number of votes.

FIFA and FIFPRO will announce the World 11 on Monday 15 January 2024 at The Best FIFA Football Awards in London, England.
