MTN FA Cup Final: Maxwell Konadu and John Eduafo promise epic showdown today

The MTN FA Cup final on Sunday promises to be an epic showdown between Bofoakwa Tano FC and Nsoatreman FC, with both coaches eyeing the ultimate.

The grand finale, which will take place at the University of Ghana Stadium, will kick-off at 18:00 GMT. This highly anticipated match will see two teams from the Bono Ahafo Region battling for the prestigious trophy, adding an element of regional rivalry to the excitement.

Bofoakwa Tano FC earned their spot in the final by edging out defending champions Dreams FC with a lone goal in a tense semi-final clash. Their solid defence has been key to their success throughout the tournament. Coach John Eduafo is determined to end the season on a high note by lifting the MTN FA Cup trophy to add another chapter to the club’s storied history.

“We are determined to end the season on a high note. We played well in the league but unfortunately, we couldn’t survive the drop. We still have a chance to prove our worth by winning the FA Cup. We are not only looking at winning the trophy but representing Ghana in next season’s CAF Confederations Cup is our biggest motivation,” he told Ghanafa.org.

On the other side, Nsoatreman FC secured their place in the final with a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Legon Cities in the semi-finals. Their dynamic and attacking style of play makes them a formidable opponent. Coach Maxwell Konadu has promised an exciting and competitive game, highlighting the team’s readiness and determination to claim the title.

“For us, this is not just a final but a battle for a ticket to play in the CAF Confederations Cup next season. We are ready to give Ghanaians an exciting game on Sunday and cap it with a win to realise our dream. We know Bofo will not come easy but we can’t afford to let a ticket to the CAF Confederations Cup slip,” Maxwell noted.
