GFA, NLA and Rambell Launch ‘World Cup Bonanza’ to fly 220 Fans to 2026 FIFA World Cup

The Football Association has announced a groundbreaking partnership with the National Lottery Authority (NLA) and lottery company Rambell to give 220 Ghanaian supporters the opportunity to attend the 2026 FIFA World Cup in North America.

The initiative, officially launched at the GFA Headquarters on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, will see fans participate in a national raffle campaign dubbed “World Cup Bonanza.”

The colourful event was graced by President Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, the Director-General of the NLA, Mohammed Abdul-Salam and Rockson Konde, representing the Board Chairman of Rambell. Also in attendance were prominent Ghanaian influencers Afronita, Fella Makafui, Kal Jay, Wofa Kay, GH Hyper, Kobby Kyei, Ameyaw Debrah, Nana Kay and SDK, who lent their support to the launch.

Additionally, popular entertainers Dr. Likee, Kyekyeku and DanceGod Lloyd have also been enlisted to spearhead the campaign and help drive nationwide engagement for the World Cup Bonanza initiative.

The World Cup Bonanza, supervised by the NLA, offers Ghanaian fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to win an all-expenses-paid trip to watch the Black Stars at the global football showpiece in the USA, Canada, and Mexico.

Speaking at the launch, President Kurt Okraku highlighted the importance of the initiative in recognising the passion and unwavering support of Ghanaian fans:

“Having ensured that Ghana will be at the Mundial, it’s important for us at the FA not to think about ourselves but to think about the country, especially the 12th man,” he said.

“We didn’t qualify alone, and we cannot go to the World Cup alone. The supporters must come with us. With the full support of the NLA and our partners at Rambell, we now have an amazing opportunity to bring our fans along on this incredible journey.”

The World Cup Bonanza embodies the campaign’s spirit: “Play More, Win More, and Experience Football’s Biggest Stage.” Beyond offering unforgettable experiences, the project also aims to reinvest into Ghana’s sporting development through the Good Causes Fund.

To participate, fans can enter the raffle by purchasing tickets via USSD code *899*899#. Winners will enjoy a subsidised flight, free accommodation, match tickets for Ghana’s three group games and comprehensive visa application support.

This initiative marks a significant milestone in fan engagement and national pride, giving Ghanaians the chance to not only support the Black Stars from the stands but also share in the global excitement of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
