54% of Ghanaians want Prez Akufo-Addo to step down
A new opinion poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics – after the President’s speech on Sunday – indicates that majority [54%] of the Ghanaian populace want President Akufo-Addo step down as president
This is against a significant number of the population [40%] who are opposed to calls for the president to step down.
When respondents were asked how they received the president’s speech, only 12% said it was inspiring. Twenty-five percent [25%] said it was uninspiring, 22% said it addressed the major economic issues whilst 38% said it did not address the issues and 2% did not have an opinion.
In the case of John Mahama’s speech, only 11% said it was inspiring whereas 9% said it was uninspiring. Thirty-eight percent [38%] of respondents said it addressed the major issues whilst 11% said it did not address the issues and 6% did not have an opinion.
On the question of which of the two speeches gave them “HOPE”, 16% said Nana Addo’s speech gave them
hope compared to 56% for John Mahama. 15% said none gave them hope and another 11% said both gave them hope whilst 3% did not have opinion.
On the call for the Economic Management Team led by the Vice President to be replaced following the
economic crisis, 78% of Ghanaians support the call whilst 18% do not support it, and 4% did not have any
opinion.
