Kurt Okraku Declares GFA as Ghana’s Most Organized Sports Institution
Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku has confidently proclaimed the GFA as the most “organized sports institution” in Ghana, emphasizing its integrity and trustworthiness during a recent contract renewal ceremony with Decathlon Ghana. This partnership, which has been extended until 2029, highlights the ongoing collaboration between the GFA and the leading sports retailer.
Okraku’s bold statement underscored the association’s commitment to maintaining high standards under his leadership. “You can continue to count on my leadership, my integrity, my trust, the integrity of the Football Association,” he stated. “I am bold to say that the Football Association of Ghana is perhaps the best organized sports institution in Ghana that you can trust.”
The GFA president invited potential partners to join forces with the association, citing Decathlon’s successful collaboration as a prime example of what can be achieved through teamwork. “We will continue, with your support on this journey, to bring confidence to the private sector,” he urged, reinforcing the idea that partnerships can enhance the growth and development of football in Ghana.
Decathlon’s relationship with the GFA, which began four years ago, has been described as a “match-winning” collaboration, establishing the retailer as the official sports shop for the country’s football governing body.
