PSG Thrash Inter Milan to Win First-Ever Champions League Title

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) achieved a historic milestone by winning their first UEFA Champions League title, defeating FC Internazionale Milano 5-0 in a commanding performance at Bayern München’s Allianz Arena. The victory not only secures PSG’s place in football history but also qualifies them for both the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2025 and the FIFA Club World Cup 2029.

Teenage sensation Désiré Doué was the standout player, scoring two goals and providing an assist. The 19-year-old opened the scoring in just the 12th minute, setting up Achraf Hakimi to finish from close range. Showing composure beyond his years, Doué played a crucial role in the team’s early dominance, which silenced the Italian supporters.

PSG quickly doubled their lead when Doué’s strike deflected off Federico Dimarco, leaving Inter goalkeeper Yann Sommer with no chance. The game was effectively sealed shortly after the hour mark when Doué finished a slick move involving Ousmane Dembélé and Vitinha, showcasing PSG’s attacking prowess.

The Parisians continued their relentless assault, with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia adding a fourth goal before substitutes Bradley Barcola and Senny Mayulu combined to score the fifth in the 86th minute. It was a comprehensive display that highlighted PSG’s strength and determination.

This match marked the first competitive meeting between the two clubs, and both teams are set to meet again in the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, where PSG will face Atlético de Madrid and Botafogo in their group.

After the match, Doué expressed his elation, saying, “I don’t have the words! Thank you, Paris! We wrote history! It’s incredible, a dream come true.” Captain Marquinhos echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the hard work and dedication of the team.

On the other hand, Inter’s midfielder Nicolò Barella acknowledged PSG’s superiority, stating, “They were stronger in every aspect: tactically, in determination. They wanted it more, and they deserve the credit.”

With this monumental victory, PSG aims to carry their winning momentum into the FIFA Club World Cup 2025, where they will compete against top teams from around the globe.
