70% of Ghanaians Believe the Country is on the Right Track Under President Mahama – Global InfoAnalytics Poll
A new national poll conducted by Global InfoAnalytics—the first since the December 2024 elections—reveals that a majority of Ghanaians believe the country is heading in the right direction under President John Dramani Mahama’s administration.
According to the survey, 70% of respondents expressed confidence in the country’s trajectory, a significant increase from the 22% recorded a year ago. Meanwhile, only 16% believe Ghana is on the wrong path, a sharp decline from the 68% who held that view during the same period last year.
On President Mahama’s performance since assuming office, an overwhelming 84% of Ghanaians approve of how he is managing the country.
Regarding the standard of living, 32% of respondents say their living conditions have improved, while 50% indicate no change. Only 8% believe their standard of living has worsened, with 10% stating they have no opinion on the matter.
Looking ahead, optimism about the future is high, with 78% of Ghanaian voters expecting their standard of living to improve within the next 12 months. This marks a significant jump from January 2024, when only 32% were optimistic.
Additionally, the poll assessed public satisfaction with the president’s appointees. A strong majority—90% of voters—expressed satisfaction with the quality of appointments, with 68% stating they are very or extremely satisfied.
The findings highlight a positive shift in public sentiment following the elections, reflecting growing confidence in the new administration’s leadership and policy direction.
