Tullow Oil and TotalEnergies Equities Remain Static Amid Limited Trading Activity

MTN Ghana (MTNGH) emerged as the sole gainer on the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) during Wednesday’s trading session, with its share price advancing by 1 pesewa.

The stock opened at GHS 2.50 and closed at GHS 2.51, on the back of trading activity that saw 51,034 shares exchange hands, generating a turnover of GHS 127,842.

The day’s performance marked a steady session overall, with no equities recording losses. Total trading volumes reached 65,110 shares, representing a combined market value of GHS 148,333.

Market capitalization rose slightly to GHS 111.54 billion from the previous session’s GHS 111.37 billion, reflecting measured optimism among investors.

AngloGold Ashanti (AGA) remained unchanged at GHS 37. The company recorded no trades during the session but maintains its position as one of the most capitalized stocks on the exchange, with a valuation of GHS 18.5 billion across 502 million issued shares.

Atlantic Lithium Ghana (ALLGH) saw some activity with 223 shares traded at a stable price of GHS 6.12, resulting in a turnover of GHS 1,365. Its market capitalization stands at GHS 4.24 billion, supported by 693 million issued shares.

Banking Sector

The financial equities segment showed limited movement. GCB Bank recorded just 10 shares traded, valued at GHS 64, closing at an unchanged price of GHS 6.37. GCB’s market capitalization remains at GHS 1.68 billion, with 265 million issued shares.

Republic Bank Ghana (RBGH) also remained static, closing at GHS 0.66. A modest trading volume of 697 shares resulted in a turnover of GHS 460. The bank’s capitalization is GHS 562 million, supported by 851 million issued shares.

Petroleum Sector

Tullow Oil Ghana traded only five shares during the session at a steady price of GHS 11.92, with a turnover of GHS 59.60. Its market capitalization is GHS 17.38 billion, based on 1.45 billion issued shares.

TotalEnergies Ghana recorded no trades but maintained its closing price of GHS 13.20. With 111 million issued shares, its market capitalization stands at GHS 1.46 billion.
