Elon Musk’s Space X looks to deploy statellite services in Ghana
Space X, the American spacecraft manufacturer, launcher and satellite communications company owned by billionaire Elon Musk is seeking to deploy its satellite services in the country.
This is according to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC).
Making the exclusive revelation to norvanreports on Thursday, July 6, 2023, Mr Grant quipped the GIPC is still engrossed in engagements with Space X to get the American company set up its satellite centre in the country.
“Space X is still looking to see if they can deploy their satellite services in Ghana, discussions between Space X and the GIPC are still ongoing and we hope to convince them,” said Mr Grant
Space X deploying its satellite services in Ghana will be a significant investment into the country.
Space X’s satellite services when eventually deployed in the country, will play a vital role in Ghana’s telecommunications system.
