Prosper Narteh full of praises for his team after Hearts draw
Head coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Prosper Narteh Ogum, says he is pleased with the performance of his side in their goalless with rivals Hearts of Oak on Sunday.
The gaffer was hoping to secure another win over Samuel Boadu as the pair came up against each other at the Accra Sports Stadium but both teams failed to find the back of the net with the game ending in a goalless draw.
Asked about the performance of his team during the post-match conference, the gaffer said:
“It was a wonderful performance from my side, we looked very compact, we played some good possession in the middle of the park, created a few chances we could have scored but then we couldn’t convert them. To play in the manner we played I think is good for the boys, and for the team, and is good for team’s confidence.”

Kotoko were not far from getting all three points as they presented with so many opportunities but failed to convert with Richmond Lamptey and Mbella Etouga forcing two good saves from Richard Attah.
Speaking on his side’s missed opportunities, he said:
“The chances came but then we couldn’t convert. Sometimes that is how the game is, you get your chances, you don’t convert them and sometimes you lose and sometimes too it ends in a stalemate. So even though we’ve been scoring two, three goals in every game, I think we had the chances but we were unable to score, so it’s okay.”
The result means Kotoko stretch their lead at the top of the league table to seven, and also maintain their 12 point gap between them and the defending champions Hearts of Oak.
