The National Identification Authourity (NIA), has averred it will commence the operationalisation of its 17 regional and 275 district offices across the country starting June this year.
According to the Authourity in a press statement issued on Monday, May 31, 2021, the operationalisation of its regional and district offices aside enhancing the NIA’s visibility throughout the nation, is to also decentralise the registration exercise and increase access to the Ghana Card and other related registration activities.
The NIA in the statement further noted that, it will in due time announce timelines for the registration of Ghanaians under 15 years for their Ghana Card.
When operational, the regional and district offices will operate within the usual business hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm from Monday to Friday.
