The leading Oil Marketing Company in Ghana, GOIL has more than doubled the capacity of the Ghana Standards Authority to enable it to execute its mandate effectively by reaching out to all stations country-wide including the newly created regions.

GOIL has presented internationally verified and standard Visugauges, thus measuring cans and accessories to the Ghana Standards Authority.

The equipment, valued at 70,000 pound sterling were in 20, 10 and 5-Litre capacity cans and are equipped with glass measuring tubes, padlocks, and aluminum cases to ensure their durability.

The last time the authority purchased these equipment was in 1993.

The Group Chief Executive and Managing Director of GOIL, Kwame Osei-Prempeh said the equipment will assist the GSA to check accuracy of fuel delivery at service stations.

He assured Ghanaians that GOIL will continue to co-operate with all regulatory agencies including the Ghana Standards Authority to ensure the interest of consumers is always protected.

“We want to assure the Ghanaian public that we are here to serve them and never to cheat them. You can feel at home and have hope that when you are buying from any GOIL station, you are getting value for money.”
