The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), is set ta launch a continent-wide initiative dubbed the Africa Advocacy Programme (AAP).
The AAP to be launched today, July 16, 2021, is structured to support collaboration with industry specialists across disciplines and sectors such as human resource, education, technology, governance, SME and Finance.
The programme, according to ACCA is to also establish a think-tank that aims to provide a national holistic perspective and provide and integrated joint platform influence and contribute to public interest activities.
Objectives of the AAP, the ACCA further notes include;
- To improve engagement with policy stakeholders and enhance effectiveness by increasing ownership of market developed insights.
- To develop bespoke thought leadership.
- To establish a joint platform for multi sector policy engagements and activities.
- Contribute to policy debate and influence policy design, implementation, monitoring and reviews.
