GSE-CI returns 44.77%; GCB accounts for 43.9% of total value traded

GSE-CI returns 44.77%; GCB accounts for 43.9% of total value traded

The Ghana Stock Market closed in the green on Monday, supported by a rally in three (3) banking stocks (ETI, SOGEGH and SCB).

As a result, the  benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) gained 10.5 points to close at  2,810.86 representing a YTD return of 44.77%.

The GSE Financial Stock Index  (GSE-FSI) also gained 19.08 points to close at 1,978.26 representing a YTD  return of 10.97%.  

Market Capitalization increased by GH¢275.43 million to close at GH¢63.71 billion representing a YTD growth of 17.16%.

Trade volume and value significantly increased from Friday’s trading  as 79,342 shares valued at GH¢265,582.63 was traded among ten (10)  equities.
