GRA collects data on owned and rented properties for tax purposes

The Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA) has announced that it is undertaking a data collection exercise on owned and rented properties nationwide.

The exercise which is pursuant to Section 33 of the Revenue Administration Act, 2016 (Act 915), the Authority notes, is to enable the collation of accurate data on properties for tax purposes.

In line with the exercise, the GRA notes that officers from the Rent Tax Taskforce of the GRA are currently visiting various places to identify properties and conduct interviews for the collection of relevant data.

“GRA entreats the general public, especially owners and occupiers of rented properties to accord the necessary assistance to the officers and cooperate with them,” said the GRA.
