CAL Bank leads equities on local bourse as market maintains 0.01% YTD returns

Cal Bank Plc (CAL) at the end of Thursday’s trading session recorded the most trades as it accounted for 57.3% of the total value traded.

Total volume and value traded of the stock on the market amounted to 40,936 and Ghs 33,567.52 respectively.

TOTAL emerged as the second most traded stock on the exchange ahead of MTNGh recording 20,000 and Ghs 10,400 in total volume and value traded.

MTNGh on the other hand recorded 4,546 and Ghs 5,046.06 in total volume and value traded.

The market maintained its year-to-date returns of 0.01% as the benchmark GSE Composite Index (GSE-CI) recorded no change at  close of market to remain flat at 2,789.52 points.

The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also flattened to close  trading at 2,154.03 translating into a YTD return of 0.10% as there were no gainers or laggards for Thursday’s trading session. 

As a result, the market capitalization remained unchanged to close at GH¢64.50 billion. 

Overall, a total of 71,390 shares valued at GH¢148,763.15 were traded in ten (10) equities compared to 1,609,189 shares valued at GH¢1,916,233.16 which exchanged hands on Thursday.
