Metropolitan announces juicy reward schemes for brokers

Insurance firm Metropolitan Ghana, has announced the introduction of three reward schemes brokers of its products.

The reward schemes according to Metropolitan Chief Executive Officer/Country Head, Tawiah Ben-Ahmed, at brokers retreat held between Metropolitan and its brokers on Thursday, November 12, is to further enhance the performance of brokers.

Metropolitan in 2019 recorded a slightly higher than 50 per cent growth in its operations and also posted a strong performance for the 2020 financial year.

The 3 reward schemes as announced and newly introduced by Metropolitan include; the over-rider, international bonanza and the competitive rewards and commissions.

The reward schemes, solely based on the performance of insurance schemes and the attainment of agreed targets by brokers are aside the conventional commissions enjoyed by brokers for their brokerage services to Metropolitan.

Brokers offering pension schemes stand to enjoy a 10 per cent more reward, health insurance brokers also stand to enjoy between 5 – 10 per cent reward with life insurance brokers enjoying 20 – 30 per cent reward, all on the basis of the performance of insurance schemes and the attainment of agreed targets by brokers.

Speaking at the retreat for its brokers, Mr Ben-Ahmed noted that it was Metropolitan’s goal to create a lifetime of financial wellness for its clients.

Lifetime financial wellness he explained, is to enable clients comfortably and sustainably cover their planned and unforseen expenses now and in the future over the period of clients’ lifetime.

The brokers retreat as organized by Metropolitan, was to first, account for its stewardship for the 2020 fiscal year to brokers, inform brokers about the company’s new offers for them as well as hold discussions with brokers on how to better improve working relations with them moving into the 2021 fiscal year.

Metropolitan Ghana is a member of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, a South African based financial services group listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE).

Metropolitan Ghana offers three main insurance products which are health, pension and life.
