The 5-year medium-term strategy adopted by the Board in 2014 is already in its third year of implementation, and I can assure you of the tremendous successes already achieved.
In 2015, we continued to be more focused, balanced and sustainable in positioning the Bank towards becoming Ghana’s Most Respected Bank. To a very large extent, our short to mid-term objectives have been met, and we have completed the foundation for further growth.
Our corporate philosophy and brand promise of ‘speed, service and security’ have become embedded in the fabric of our Bank, fundamentally changing how we conduct our business today and in the future.
During the period, several initiatives were undertaken to build capabilities and offer innovative financial advisory services to customers. The Bank’s financial inclusion drive was reinforced with the launch of its unique approach to banking women, known as ‘W’, which is helping to empower many women across the country today.
We have complemented this with an expanded branch network and new investments to strengthen our digital capabilities by enhancing the Bank’s Channel Services platform, upgrading our internet banking service and deploying a Trade innovation portal to provide customers with a convenient and effective way of conducting business
