Alex Segbefia Appointed Chief of Staff to Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang

President John Dramani Mahama has approved the appointment of Alex Percival Segbefia as the Chief of Staff to the Vice President, Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang.

The announcement, made on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, is part of the government’s “Resetting Ghana” agenda, aimed at enhancing governance and policy coordination within the Office of the Vice President.

The move underscores the administration’s commitment to capable leadership and efficient governance.

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, confirmed the appointment in an official statement, highlighting the importance of seasoned professionals in driving the government’s vision for a better Ghana.

In addition to Mr. Segbefia, Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo, former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has been named Policy Advisor to the Vice President.

The appointments reflect a strategic approach to governance, bringing together a team with extensive experience to ensure the effective implementation of key policies.
