AS FAR and TP Mazembe Reach CAF Women’s Champions League Semi-Finals
AS FAR and TP Mazembe have advanced to the semi-finals of the CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco. Both teams secured their spots with strong performances in the final round of Group A matches.
AS FAR defeated the University of the Western Cape 2-0, thanks to two goals from 19-year-old Doha El Madani. This victory marked AS FAR’s third win in the group stages, placing them at the top of Group A.
TP Mazembe achieved a dominant 4-0 win over Aigles De La Medina, making this their first time reaching the semi-finals. After a goalless first half, they scored four goals in the second half, including two from Priscille Kreto.
The tournament continues on Saturday with final Group B matches, featuring Mamelodi Sundowns against Edo Queens and FC Masar facing Central Bank of Ethiopia, both starting at 17h00 GMT.
