GFA President.Set to Visit Gold Stars, Asante Kotoko, and Police Ladies to Strengthen CAF Campaigns

The President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kurt Edwin Simeon-Okraku, along with the Executive Council, is set to embark on a significant working visit to three clubs representing Ghana in the upcoming 2025/26 CAF Inter-Club Competitions. Starting today, Okraku’s tour will focus on Gold Stars FC, Asante Kotoko SC, and Police Ladies FC, all of whom have earned their spots following strong performances in their respective leagues.

The visit begins in Accra, where President Okraku will meet with the training camp of Gold Stars FC, the champions of the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League. This marks an important milestone for the Bibiani-based club as they prepare for their historic debut in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League.

Next, the GFA President will head to the training facilities of Police Ladies FC, who recently clinched the 2024/25 Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League title. They will represent Ghana in the CAF Women’s Champions League WAFU B Zonal Qualifiers, and Okraku aims to bolster their morale as they gear up for the competition.

Finally, the tour will conclude with a visit to Asante Kotoko SC, the MTN FA Cup champions, who are set to compete in the 2025/26 TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup. Okraku’s presence is intended to familiarize himself with the teams’ preparations, motivate players and technical staff, and reaffirm the GFA’s unwavering support.

Ghana’s representation in the CAF competitions this season includes:

– Gold Stars FC – CAF Champions League (Premier League Champions)
– Asante Kotoko SC – CAF Confederation Cup (FA Cup Winners)
– Police Ladies FC – CAF Women’s Champions League (WAFU B Zonal Qualifiers)
