Bagbin Writes: A broke country, collapsed economy with a rich Alhaji seeking to be president

The Vice President Alhaji Bawumia is giving each delegate Ghc400× 204,144 totalling Ghc81, 657,600. When you convert this into dollars you have 6,901,125.77 United States Dollars.

The people who promised to protect the public purse have ended up dissipating the public purse to enrich themselves and their families.

So the Vice president who has run down the economy of Ghana is spending 81.6 Million Ghana cedis just today to buy the votes of the NPP in order to become the NPP Flagbearer.

We remember that H.E John Dramani Mahama generously gave the 355,092 delegates in the May 13th presidential elections Ghc40 each totalling Ghc14,203,680. The Jandam Mafia media in Ghana roasted president Mahama for giving each delegates Ghc 40 for T&T and some even called on and petitioned the special Prosecutor to investigate president Mahama for corruption.

President Mahama was even transparent enough and issued a statement from his office to the kind gesture of supporting delegates with their T&T yet some mischievous elements within the media space made negative news out of that.

It’s still early days yet and we are seriously waiting to hear from the Media, anti corruption campaigners and elections Watchers on what they make of the over Ghc81.6 Million given to delegates today by Alhaji Bawumia.

A vote for Bawumia is certainly an endorsement of the corruption under his grand master Akufo-Addo and Ghanaians must be extra careful with these corrupt elements and confidence tricksters in our politics. Ghana deserves better.

Very sad to read this. Our African leaders are useless, very useless and very very useless. God wil punish them

It is very funny in this country we have a speaker of Parliament who is a chief propagandist.
I am so surprised that he also jumped in when the flagbearer of his Party gave that 400 to each delegate.
What evidence does he have to make such an unguarded statement?
