Bank of Ghana Prices 1oz Gold Coin at GHS 45,017 as Global Gold Prices Ease
The Bank of Ghana has announced the pricing of its commemorative gold coins for Friday, October 31, 2025, with the one-ounce coin valued at GH¢45,017.68 following a slight dip in international gold prices.
According to data published by the Central Bank, the 0.5-ounce and 0.25-ounce denominations were priced at GH¢22,853.02 and GH¢11,792.89, respectively.
The pricing was determined using the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) PM gold price of US$3,994.15 per ounce and an exchange rate of GH¢10.8675 per US dollar, as reported by Bloomberg.
The updated valuation reflects minor adjustments to align with prevailing global market conditions, where gold prices eased marginally amid reduced investor demand for safe-haven assets.
Despite the pullback, gold continues to trade near record highs, underpinned by persistent geopolitical tensions and uncertainty in major economies.
The Ghana Gold Coin, launched by the Bank of Ghana in 2021, remains a key symbol of Ghana’s contribution to the global gold trade and a store of value for investors seeking exposure to precious metals through locally minted assets.
