Bank of Ghana Prices 1oz Gold Coin at GHS 47,960

The Bank of Ghana has announced pricing for its gold coins as of Thursday, September 25, 2025, with the one-ounce denomination selling at GHS 47,960.27.

According to the central bank’s release, the half-ounce coin is priced at GHS 24,345.96, while the quarter-ounce coin is valued at GHS 12,563.89.

The pricing was based on the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA) previous day’s close of $3,761.60 per ounce and Bloomberg’s USD/GHS rate of 12.30.

The gold coins form part of the Bank of Ghana’s initiative to deepen the domestic gold market, provide investors with alternative assets, and enhance value retention amid cedi volatility.
