Bank of Ghana to Relocate Banking Department to New Head Office

The Bank of Ghana has announced that its Banking Department will move operations to a newly built head office at Bank Square, Ridge in Accra, effective September 15, 2025.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, the central bank said the relocation covers both its Banking Hall, which will operate from the ground floor of the Tower Block, and other departmental services, which will be housed on the first floor.

The move, according to the Bank, is intended to streamline operations and consolidate activities at its modernised headquarters, situated at 42 Castle Road. From mid-September, all correspondence, visits, banking services, and deliveries will be directed to the new facility.

While the relocation involves a significant change of venue, the Bank stressed that its existing telephone lines and email contacts would remain unchanged unless otherwise communicated.

The statement, signed by Aimee V. Quashie, Secretary to the Bank, expressed appreciation to stakeholders for their cooperation and assured continued service delivery at the new premises.

The relocation marks another step in the central bank’s broader modernisation drive, which has included both digital and infrastructural upgrades in recent years, aimed at strengthening efficiency and enhancing accessibility to its services.
