Bawumia Concedes Defeat, Congratulates Mahama as President-Elect

Flagbearer and Presidential Candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahammudu Bawumia, has conceded defeat to the former President and Presidential Candidate of the New Democratic Congress (NDC), John Mahama.

The concession speech by Dr Bawumia follows the overwhelming and landslide victory earned by the NDC in the 2024 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.

“Our internal data, suggests that former President John Mahama of the NDC has won decisively,” quipped Dr Bawumia during his concession speech from his official residence on Sunday, December 8, 2024.

“I have called former President John Mahama and congratulated him for his victory,” he added.

The concession speech by the NPP Presidential Candidate affirms former President John Mahama as the President-elect of the Republic of Ghana for the second time.

At the time of the concession speech by Dr Bawumia, polling results from some 47 constituencies out of the 276 constituencies had been declared.
