betPawa GPL: Aduana open a six point lead at the top; RTU beats Bechem United in five goal thriller

Aduana FC secured an impressive victory over Great Olympics on Saturday as they opened a six point lead at the top of the Ghana Premier League league table.

After suffering a setback last weekend when they were eliminated from the MTN FA Cup by King Faisal on penalties, the Ogya boys responded with a purposeful display against the Dade boys.

With their home ground, Nana Agyemang Badu suspended due to alleged hooliganism, Aduana hosted the game at the Dr Kwame Kyei Sports Complex in Abrankese and Frank Owusu’s 57th minute proved to be the match winner.

The victory maintains Aduana FC’s position at the top of the table, with a comfortable six-point lead over second-placed Bechem United, who also played on Saturday.

Bechem United suffered a defeat in a five-goal thriller against Tamale City at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.

Despite scoring two goals in the first half through Hafiz Konkoni, Bechem United were unable to keep up with a resilient Tamale City side, who won the match 3-2 and climbed out of the relegation zone.
