Kpando Heart of Lions suffered their first defeat of the season Thursday after losing 2-1 to Accra Lions in the battle of Lions.
Elsewhere, Nsoatreman FC continued their brilliant start to the season with a 1-0 win against Asante Kotoko.
Maxwell Konadu’s men went into the game lying in third place but the win over Asante Kotoko takes them to the top with 16 points.
Former champions Asante Kotoko, entered the game in search of their first win since Friday, October 13 when they beat Aduana FC 1-0 in Kumasi.
Stephen Diyou scored the game’s only goal in the 41st minute.
Nsoatreman FC now have 16 points – one points ahead of second placed Aduana FC who are in second place with 15 points.
In the battle of Lions, Accra Lions defeated Kpando Heart of Lions 2-1 – handing the Kpando lads their first defeat of the season.
Ali Mohammed and Daniel Awuni won the day for Accra Lions.
