betPawa GPL: FC Samartex down Dreams FC, RTU beat Karela United

FC Samartex 1996 continued their impressive home form with a 2-0 win over Dreams FC at Nana Nsenkyire Park Sunday.

The Sameraboi lads hold the record as the best home win team in the League following three consecutive wins at the Nsenkyire Park.

New recruit Baba Musah Hamadu who has had a sterling start to life at the club after his switch from Skyy FC scored the opening goal when he headed home an in-swinger from Samuel Tetteh in the 11th minute.

FC Samartex added to the tally through substitute Dauda Yussif Seidu deep in stoppage-time.

The Samreboi-based side moves to the top of the standings with 9 points as Dreams FC drops to the 13th spot with 5 points.

At the Aliu Mahama stadium, Real Tamale United defeated Karela United in a thrilling encounter that ended 3-2.

Real Tamale United were two goals to be good in the first 18 minutes as Baba Kushibu and Mohammed Mankuyeli netted within ten minutes in the 8th and 18th minutes respectively.

Evans Adomako gave Karela United a glimmer of hope in the 29th minute when he pulled one back to make it 2-1.

Back from recess, Afriyie Owusu restored the two goal margin for Real Tamale United with a thunderous finish inside 53 minutes. The Northern giants were coasting to a 3-1 win until Alex Kuffuor reduced the deficit for Karela United in the 80th minute.

Meanwhile Emmanuel Sarpong scored the match winner for Berekum Chelsea in a 1-0 win against Nations FC at the Golden City Park.

Finally on Sunday, Legon Cities and Bechem United played out a 1-1 draw at the El-wak stadium in a frantic game that saw both sides end the game with 10-men.

Samuel Kuffuor gave Bechem United a surprise lead in the 15th minute before Frank Antwi equalized in the 78th minute.

Legon Cities are now 8th in the League log with 8 points as Bechem United sit at the bottom of the table 4 points.
