Black Stars Seek Urgent Support for 2026 World Cup Qualifications
Ghana’s Black Stars are feeling the pressure as they aim for crucial victories in their quest to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.
Head coach Otto Addo emphasized the importance of support from the Ga Chiefs and the entire nation to secure the necessary wins. Currently joint-top of their qualification group alongside Comoros, both teams have amassed nine points after four matches.
With vital qualifiers approaching against Chad and Madagascar, Addo made a courtesy visit to King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, the Ga Mantse, seeking his blessings for the upcoming challenges. “Ghana urgently needs victories to qualify for the World Cup,” Addo stated, highlighting the collective effort required from all Ghanaians.
The first match against Chad is set to take place at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 21, followed by a tough away game against Madagascar just three days later in Morocco.
