Boca Juniors fan commits suicide after his team lost Libertadores final to Fluminense

Boca Juniors’ defeat in the Copa Libertadores Final turned into tragedy after a Boca Juniors fan team took his own life after the match.

Marcelo Morales was only 23 years old worked as a policeman in the city of Buenos Aires and was a passionate Boca fan above everything else.

According to Crónica TV, Marcelo “could not bear the pain of the defeat” and that is why he made a drastic decision. The news outlet interviewed Marcelo’s mother, who confirmed that her son made this decision because he was “a Boca fan”.

“If he lost he was bad, he would get sad, he would punch things, he would say that Boca was the greatest thing. However, Boca is garbage. They killed him. Now I don’t have him and there is no player to give me condolences” Claimed Marcelo’s mother.

She even stated that days before, Marcelo had threatened to kill himself if Boca did not win the Cup, but they did not take him seriously. Sadly, they found her son lifeless, this Sunday morning, lying in bed.

“I didn’t think my son would reach the point of killing himself. A few weeks ago, he had told his father ‘If Boca doesn’t win on November 4, I’ll kill myself’. We thought he was making a joke. Let the young people become aware, let them think about their family”, warned the mother, reminding them that it is only a game and that their lives should not depend on it.
