BOPP, SIC lead value and volume traded on GSE
Equities of Benso Palm Plantation Plc (BOPP) and State Insurance Company, SIC Ltd, accounted for the highest value and volume of traded equities on the local bourse on Monday, July 18.
BOPP accounted for 49.92% of total value traded whereas SIC accounted for 63.1% of total volume traded on the stock market.
In all, a total of 37,954 shares valued at GHS 34,193.70 was traded on the day.

Compared with the previous GSE trading day [July 15], Monday’s data shows a 99.66% decline in volume traded and 99.63% decline in trade turnover.
Sixteen equities were traded during the day but no gainer or decliner was recorded as market capitalization for the day settled at GHS 63.75 billion.
This caused the benchmark index (GSE-Composite Index) of the Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE) to remain unchanged to close at the same mark as it opened at 2,464.13 points representing a YTD return of -11.66%.
The GSE Financial Stock Index (GSE-FSI) also maintained its value to close trading at 2,163.03 points translating into a YTD return of 0.52%.
