betPawa GPL: Asante Kotoko hand King Faisal fourth defeat of the season after 3-0 win

Asante Kotoko put city rivals King Faisal in check in the first Kumasi derby of the season as they beat the Insha Allah Boys 3-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

Marquee signing Steven Mukwala was the man of the night as he was involved in all three goals, inspired the Porcupine Warriors to three goals and three points.

After misfiring in previous games, the Ugandan had been chastised for not being clinical in front of goal, but it appears he worked hard on his skill set during the league break due to the court injunction.

He opened the scoring in the 10th minute with a close-range finish after a brilliant team play from Kotoko.

Mukwala was fouled in the box 17 minutes later, and captain Samuel Boadu converted to double Kotoko’s lead.

Mukwala assisted defender Nicholas Mensah for the third goal a minute after halftime.
