BudgIT Ghana Mourns the Passing of Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings
BudgIT Ghana joins the nation in mourning the passing of Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings, former First Lady of the Republic of Ghana, a visionary leader, social reformer, and tireless advocate for women’s empowerment and national development.
Her Excellency Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings was a trailblazer whose life embodied courage, conviction, and compassion. Through her pioneering efforts in advancing women’s rights and social inclusion, she helped lay the foundation for a more equitable Ghana. Her leadership through the 31st December Women’s Movement expanded opportunities for women across communities, empowering countless Ghanaians through education, entrepreneurship, and civic participation.
Her advocacy for justice, equity, and good governance remains a defining legacy in Ghana’s democratic and developmental trajectory. Her Excellency’s steadfast belief that progress must be inclusive continues to inspire women leaders, policymakers, and advocates striving to build a just and accountable society.
